More recently, I have been encountering people building skoolie conversions for financial reasons. They want to live on the road but newer RV's cost too much and are build like garbage 9/10 times. This platform seems to be the answer for retirees and young builders alike. I lived and traveled in an RV for 3.5 years. While mine was not built too bad, I totally regret not building a skoolie earlier!
